“I find that good pictures of waves are remarkably hard to find. Pictures of waves seldom look as lumpy as the sea really was, and things go on so fast that it’s hard to catch exactly what you want. To compound the difficulty, most right-thinking photographers are in their bunks with their cameras in waterproof bags when the waves are really running.”
