ABSTRACT
This chapter covers the period to 1984. As in the first edition of this book, we are specifically excluding pyrroles, indoles, partial dihydropyridines, exoenamine tautomers of oxazolines, and imidaz olines. Enamine systems further conjugated with electron acceptor groups (enaminones, enaminonitriles, enamides) have not been in cluded in this survey.
