ABSTRACT
It is hardly necessary to explain the need for a reduction in the number of minor stoppages. After all, anyone who works at or with production lines — from operators, technical staff, and process planners to managers concerned with investment planning or equipment operations — has been bothered by minor stoppages enough to keenly appreciate the need for improvements designed to eliminate them.
