ABSTRACT
Indigenous Populations which has two formal tasks, to: • review national developments pertaining to the
promotion and protection of rights and freedoms of indigenous peoples;
• develop international standards concerning their rights, taking account of similarities and differences in their situations and aspirations throughout the world.
