… in which we find that 4-year-old children see and know less than 6-year-old children because they carry out a less extensive visual search … and in which we find that younger children carry out a less extensive visual search because they have less of an idea of what to look for. When they know what to look for, their visuals earch appears to be indistinguishable from that of older children.
