ABSTRACT

As we have seen, ADD begins in early childhood and was initially thought to be outgrown by adolescence. However, we now know that this is not the case, and that while from 30 to 40% of adults are asymptomatic, 40% to 50% of individuals with ADD continue to be bothered by significant symptoms into adulthood. This includes 10 to 15% of adults with ADD whose symptoms can be rated as severe.
