ABSTRACT

Elizabeth Hooker, Ph.D., served as a primary therapist and Clinical Coordinator of an inpatient behavioral health unit specializing in anxiety disorders and trauma/PTSD for 16 months. For over II years she has studied various forms and the residual effects of abuse. On the practical side, working as a therapist in private practice, Dr. Hooker has specialized in treating victim behavior, and as a seminar/lecture presenter and trainer for mental health professionals, she

has shared this knowledge with others. Dr. Hooker has written one book on the assessment and treatment of victim behavior and has just completed a second one that moves beyond identifying the abuse into the healing/change process.
