This chapter and Chapter 11 are concerned with the formulation of strategy, and Chapter 12 goes on to consider evaluating the available options and selecting between them.
Formulating business strategy is concerned with three primary issues:
●● Competitive strategy – the basis on which competition will take place. ●● Strategic direction – which direction for development will be taken. ●● Strategic methods – how will the development be achieved, i.e. which methods will be adopted.
