ABSTRACT

The preceding chapters all have been concerned with morphisms inherent in operatory structures of a geometric nature. They involved situations where the subject had to transform figures or objects in order to solve various kinds of problems. Spatial problems were particularly indicated for the type of analysis at issue because of the multiple intermediaries that they exhibit between observable figurative entitites and deductive compositions. In the three chapters to follow, we address a more specifically logical domain by focusing on the construction of reciprocities and symmetries that generate an especially interesting kind of morphism.
