ABSTRACT

The last two decades have seen an increased amount of interest in the area of home-based programming for a child welfare clientele (Levenstein, 1981). Such programs include “all those supportive or supplemental services to a family in or near the family home” (Maybanks & Bryce, 1979, p. 20). The primary goal of these services is typically the prevention of child abuse and neglect and the avoidance of family breakdown.
