ABSTRACT

Klein: We have brought scholars who do both clinical work and research in the area of dissociative disorders together with those who do research in the brain and cognitive sciences. We have had individual opportunities to present our work as it relates to understanding dissociative disorders. In this round table forum, we can more freely exchange ideas, challenge one anothers' conceptions, and generate ideas for interdisciplinary research and theory. To get us started, let me begin by posing some questions: Is the enthusiasm Hebb had for research on dissassociative disorders justified? Have we made ptogress towards understanding them? Where do we go from here?
