ABSTRACT

Examinations should not be a journey into hitherto uncharted regions.

Be practical: relax, you did all that refl ection and reviewing; the examinations will be most agreeable. Check and double-check the examination timetable and room locations – they can change. Know where you are going, plan to arrive 20 minutes early to fi nd your seat number, visit the loo and relax. Check the student handbook for what to do if delayed. Make sure you have your ID, pen, spare pens, calculator ... whatever is required. For online exams you need your ID and passwords. Read the information on the exam paper (rubric), and take heed of everything the invigilator says. If there is a problem with the paper or computer tell an invigilator at once, so the lecturers can be consulted.
