Memory for Schema-Based Reasoning

An adaptive reasoner needs a great deal of knowledge about the world, including knowledge about different contexts, strategies, ways of achieving goals, and properties of objects in its domain. This knowledge must be organized to facilitate its use and update (if the reasoner is to do long-term adaptation). The organized collection of a reasoner’s knowledge is its memory.
