ABSTRACT

From this perspective, we explore here the psychological reconstruction that Vygotsky pOinted to. We focus on cultural forms and sign use. We focus on psychological issues of sign use and not on social interaction itself, nor on the intricacies of the interrelationships between the social and the cultural. We do not intend to question the importance of social processes. However, we feel that a better appreciation of the psychological aspects of sign use provides us with an important focus for investigations that explore how social interactions are involved in intellectual development.
