Stephen C. Behrendt. George Holmes Distinguished Professor of English at the University of Nebraska, wrote The Moment of Explosion: Blake and the Illustration oj Millon (1983) and Reading William. Blake (1992), and edited History and My/h: Essays on English Romantic Literature ( 1990). He is coeditor, wi th Harriet Kramer Linkin, of Approaches /0 Teaching British Women Poels 0/ the Romanlic Period in the MLA's Approaches to Teaching World Literature series (1997). Eric V. Chandler is completing a dissertation on Pope and his relation to the eighteenth-century book trade. His articles on Pope and Edmund CurB and on Pope. Cibber. and popular culture have appeared in Genre and other publications. He tcaches English at the Menlo School in Atherton. California.
