ABSTRACT
Kay F. Thompson, D.D.S. (University of Pittsburgh), maintains a private practice in dentistry in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Community Dentistry at the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. Dr. Thompson is a member of the editorial board of the Ericksonian Monographs, and she is active in numerous professional organizations of dentistry and hypnosis. A colleague of Milton Erickson for more than 30 years, she travels internationally to present workshops on hypnosis. She has been an Invited Faculty Member of all Erickson Foundation-sponsored Congresses since 1980. Dr. Thompson has received numerous awards for her work in hypnosis from such organizations as the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, the Society for Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, and the Netherlands Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
