ABSTRACT
The link between epilepsy and behavioral disorders has long been recognized. There has been considerable literature published in the past 30 years to remind us of the interaction between seizure disorders and psychopathology, particularly psychosis. A seizure is a paroxysmal cerebral neuronal firing with or without perceptual or motor alterations or altered consciousness. Epilepsy is a disorder characterized by recurrent seizures.
