How do men make the transition to fatherhood? What factors influ ence these transitions? Are there really changes afoot as popularly believed? Why do some fathers interact comfortably with their chil dren, but with others one can sense a strained distance, if not outright rejection? Are the colorations only dyadically determined, or are the mothers-even the marriages-involved?
