ABSTRACT
One of the neurochemical embarrassments of the brain is that it has too many transmitters, or too many potential transmitters, including those both for inhibitory and stimulatory functions…. This whole complex system makes one think that trying to attribute any large, complex phenomenon to one transmitter, under any conditions, is probably a futile venture.
