ABSTRACT

One person can compose a business plan in the privacy of his or her own study. A committee can create a plan. Sections of the plan can be delegated to experts in particular areas. Consultants may be retained. The first step is to decide who should be involved in designing the new venture. For example, it might be useful for Dr. Hickory (chapter 19) to ask potential residents of her new program to assist in the writing of sections of the business plan. Their perspective would foster a program that is customer-friendly.
