ABSTRACT

As will be seen these are not necessarily mutually exclusive of each other but the traditional method of discussing each separately will be followed. Nuisance is concerned with the use of land. We have already seen that the word ‘land’ has an extended meaning in law (Chapter 8.3). For the purposes of nuisance a wider meaning is given. Nuisance is concerned with all aspects of land use. This can include:

J the right to grow crops and graze animals; J shooting rights; J riparian rights; J rights of support from neighbouring land; J timber rights; J leisure and domestic activity; J mineral rights; J etc.
