ABSTRACT
Psychoanalysis is based on the work of Sigmund Freud, who refined his thoughts over a large number of publications. Many were inspired by his theories, but some occasionally broke away and developed their own theories and ideas by mixing and matching Freudian readings with additional theories and viewpoints borrowed from newly emerging branches of psychology and philosophy, of religion and theology.
