In Spanish the verb carries even more messages within it. For instance:
In Spanish you don’t always need to include the subject pronoun with the verb. The endings of the verb are different depending on whether the subject is ‘I’, ‘You’, ‘we’, etc. In Bebo café, the ending indicates that I, the speaker (1st person singular), drink coffee; bebemos café tells us that we (1st person plural) drink coffee; bebes café informs us that you (2nd person singular, informal) drink coffee. In English the same word, ‘drink’, is used every time, with the exception of the 3rd person singular (‘drinks’), so it is necessary to specify the subject.
