The DEPTH Workfl ow

In the depth workfl ow, teams manipulate parallax to change the apparent location in Z-Space of the area of interest in a 3D frame. As we learned in Chapter 1, horizontal parallax represents the distance between similar points in an image pair as a percentage of screen width (e.g., 3%) and/or as an absolute pixel value (e.g., 20 pixels). As you might expect, horizontal parallax can remain fi xed or vary over the course of a shot.
