ABSTRACT

Contrary to all expectations, book publishing and book reading did not stop after the invention of film and TV; they happily co-exist and cross-fertilize each other So if you would like to talk or write in German about a book you have read or a play you have seen, the vocabulary in this chapter will come in handy Naturally, there will be some overlap of vocabulary between this chapter and the one on film (see Day 8), but we thought it best to repeat some of it in order to reinforce it in a new context. Also, the vocabulary for describing people (see Day 2) will obviously be useful when talking about a character in a novel or in a play.
