ABSTRACT
The early summer of 1921 brought back more war memories. The new anniversaries were celebrated with sadness and pride. On May 29 there was a great renaming of public streets and squares in Boston to honour the dead. On May 30 came the poignant ceremonies of Memorial Day. On May 31 the trial of Sacco and Vanzetti for the South Braintree killings began.
