ABSTRACT

Many ecologically oriented communities and crime theories discuss ecological processes or attributes that mediate between crime features and community structure. These models might be interested in crime or delinquency as an exogenous community attribute that over time alters fundamental neighborhood structural features like socioeconomic status (SES), housing quality, stability, or racial composition.
