ABSTRACT

According to General “Stormin’ Norman” Schwartzkopf, war is the “most complex thing in the world.” The Gulf war was, if you think about, quite a remarkable achievement. The United States military establishment transported, in short time, the equivalent of a mid-sized city and our government formed alliances with governments in the Middle East who hadn’t been terribly friendly with one another and, of course, our strategists planned a successful military campaign.
