ABSTRACT
The storyteller jumped forward, gesturing wildly with his hand drum, as he told those gathered around him about that bad ol’ mean trickster, Coyote. The audience of junior high school students and their mentors riveted their attention on the man as he rapidly struck his drum to accentuate each event in the story. Coyote had done what Coyote was best known for: causing trouble.
