ABSTRACT
In the scenario that follows the term “nightmare” carries several implications. The scenario is a nightmare in that it does sound like the product of a bad dream. However, if we extrapolate certain tendencies in society, as they could be reinforced by technological developments, the world that emerges would be a nightmare judged by the values that humane and sensitive individuals presently hold.
