ABSTRACT
The following chapter is an attempt to determine the relation between sensual love and spiritual yearning for a higher ideal. Although the ideal love that aims to be greater than death, cannot be confused with the physical attraction we call love, nevertheless it appears to have this attraction at its beginning.
