ABSTRACT
The general thesis of this paper is: Under what conditions does behavior content derived from relationships within a certain social group continue in a group of a different size or order? Does such behavior continue in the form of a psychological pattern, or does it continue in the form of external symbolic behavior, the "meaning" or justification of which has already been experienced in some form of action?
