ABSTRACT
In 1895 the residents of Hull-House coauthored a sociological masterpiece. Their book, Hull-House Maps and Papers, had a monumental influence on Chicago sociology and, in turn, American sociology. 1 Despite its preeminence, this scholarly classic has been erased from the annals of sociology. Fortunately, its influence, insight, and historical precedence cannot be expunged.
