ABSTRACT

The first week of the new Spring term was proving to be “think-on-your feet” week, at least for me. When I arrived for my first class Monday and discovered I’d left my materials at home, I’d had to improvise. I’d borrowed one of Tina’s English texts, which I had in my backpack, luckily, and grabbed it hoping there would be something I could use. It consisted of a collection of very short stories, more like vignettes, with a vocabulary lesson to follow.
