ABSTRACT

In print there was proof that Pavlik Morozov's killer was his father Trofim Morozov. During the time of the murder Trofim Morozov was imprisoned in the far north. He could have run away, if he had been alive at the time. Ksenya Morozova couldn't recognize any of her family's voices, but declared that the grandfather and Danila Morozov came by, even though family lived in all the neighboring houses, and the dog ran around everywhere and, of course, knew everyone. Morozova left for Tavda to bring a calf to the purveying center there. At the investigation Morozova easily agreed to go along with the official version of the murder and was ready to blame anyone. Morozov's uncle Arseny Kulukanov was characterized as the major organizer and instigator by most of the Soviet press. This was ignored by most of the press; it was as if finding a person innocent somehow compromised the Russian judicial system.
