ABSTRACT
Although the Bush administration has emphasized its rhetorical commitment to traditional marriage, Bush policies have thrown together some awfully strange bedfellows. Libertarians and constitutional-minded conservatives have made common cause with the civil liberties movement of the left in protest against excesses in the War on Terror.
