ABSTRACT
The traditional measure of distance in China is the lH, sometimes translated as mile and sometimes as Chinese mile. A lH is approximately 1/3 of a British or American mile. LH is a classifier and directly follows the number. It is often followed by the noun lù road. Lù does not get translated in this phrase.
