In the dialogue in this lesson, Xiao Zhang uses shéi who as a one-word question Who? to ask who is at the door. In English we would probably say Who’s there?
XiFo ZhAng: Shéi? Who’s there?
When answering a shéi question, simply replace the question word with the answer.
