ABSTRACT
There is more than a little truth to Israelis' feelings about their centrality. Religion has played a great part in the development of civilization, and the Holy Land of the Jews has been central to the history of Christians and Muslims, as well as Jews. Arguably, each of the monotheistic faiths emerged from themes created by the Jews in Jerusalem and its surroundings.
