ABSTRACT
Father, my brother schabse, and i were now working in Wolf’s bakery. Father was paid the salary for all three of us, and we worked innumerable hours. We began Saturday evening and worked through, with intervals of a few hours for sleep, until Friday afternoon. Friday afternoon we went to the steam bath, slept at home Friday night, had Saturday free, and Saturday evening started in again, to work till the following Friday afternoon.
