Mama Dreams

In our village the seasons came and went like human beings. Spring came like a visit from a dear, long-awaited friend—you knew very well what he looked like, but still, when he came, you were surprised. He was even pleasanter and friendlier and warmer than you had expected, and every day he brought forth new gifts. Somewhere in his trunk there was always another little offering, another present, till you were almost embarrassed to accept them.
