ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on the use of evaluations in three Norwegian ministries. First, we give a short description of the general institutional context, including the request for conducting evaluations. Thereafter, we examine three different policy areas in three ministries, describing them in more detail as three different areas for evaluation. We describe different aspects of the evaluation practices, especially how the information from the evaluations is being taken care of, followed up, or utilized in the ministries. 1
