ABSTRACT

Nietzsche, for all his w i t , was certainly not free of resentment, but he made no secret of that. His campaign against resentment was part of his self-overcoming. Jung does not seem to have realized how ful l he was o f resentment, and how i t distorted not only his prose but also, more importantly, his perceptions. I t attached itself to all of his major rivals-Nietzsche, Freud, and Adlerand helps to account for his failure to see them as they were.
