ABSTRACT
The following list of sources has been compiled as an aid for students of the dynamics of collective memory. By no means exhaustive, it aims to reflect the range of material pertinent to the inquiry. My brief comments about the texts, in the form of mini-reviews, serve to guide the reader through the multiplicity of approaches encountered in this rapidly growing area of study. The emphasis here is on the more recent publications in English; a separate section signals some of the French works available. With a few exceptions, articles in edited volumes are not treated individually.
