What Human Values Ought to be Changed?

WithWendell Bell

In this chapter, I conclude the discussion of human values that we began with the utopian visions of Thomas More. I do so by considering the possibility that some human values ought to be changed. If you recall, in chapter 4, I suggested that the human future may depend on two contradictory capacities, recognizing and abiding by most universal human values and continuing to make changes in other values in response to changing conditions.
