Maryann mentioned to me that the comic Richard Pryor was trying to do satire, which is my thing so we went to see him last night. We had to stand outside the Mandrake in a long line that snaked around the corner of University and 10th Streets. Once we were inside the club, a stocky, middle-aged white woman guided us to a seat between couples not far from the stage.
