The Rationality of Listening, Emotional Sensitivity, and Moral Vision

We learn from friends as well as from scientists. We learn from historical studies and the experiences of others as well as from philosophical argument and social science. This much is immediately apparent, but it is just as immediately forgotten once we try to understand the rationality of decision making and planning practice more generally.
