ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book deals with an empirical study on organizational conflict and effectiveness and a literature review of social support and turnover. It provides an analysis of adaptation to significant technological changes, an empirical study that examines the cognitive complexity of the top management team which is related to firm performance, and the origins and development of the cellular organization. The book also deals with incorporating embodied cognition into sense making, an empirical study that examines the cognitive complexity of the top management team and its effect on firm performance, and the origins and development of the cellular organization. It reports the empirical studies that explore the relationship between emotional intelligence and corporate entrepreneurship and narratives may be used to facilitate understanding of entrepreneurship and associated concepts.
