At the end of this chapter readers will be able to:
understand the concepts of transparency and accountability, and their applicability to the financial management of sport enterprises
explain why so many sport enterprise managers do not disclose financial information to the public
identify the problems that can arise from a failure to disclose important financial information to key stakeholders
make recommendations on the policies and rules that could be put in place to ensure greater financial transparency and more management accountability in sport enterprises.
