The Canon of Creativity

The twin concept at the heart of the Morenean system is the Doctrine of Spontaneity-Creativity (Moreno, 1953b). Creativity has always been a prime philosophical and scientifi c question. We stand in awe of human creativity manifested in all its forms: in the great works of art, painting, sculpture, theater, poetry, and fi ction; in the profound theories of great philosophers since the days of ancient Greece; in scientifi c discoveries and explanations of the workings of the natural world; and in the uncountable number of technological inventions by which we have gained so much control over our natural environment.
